LIVE EVENT: #RoaneIsBetterTogether live event at Harriman's historic Princess Theatre

On July 14th, several hundred people gathered at Harriman's historic Princess Theatre for a multimedia addiction and recovery storytelling event.
We screened some of TruckBeat's video stories about East Tennessee's opioid crisis on the big screen. There was a panel discussion moderated by WUOT News Director Matt Shafer Powell and featuring health experts, lawmakers and other invited guests. We opened the stage for audience storytellers to share their own experiences of addiction and recovery. Swing band Old City Buskers provided great live music.
And there was a free photobooth where the talented Shawn Poynter shot portraits throughout the night.
