Three-Part Audio Series

The TruckBeat team took the truck out to Cornerstone of Recovery, an addiction-treatment center in East Tennessee, to learn about some of the different perspectives on recovery. How does addiction treatment work? Why is relapse often part of recovery?

Part One: If They Could Stop, They Would Stop

In part one, producer Matt Shafer Powell sits down with Dr. Kip Wenger, who talks about some of the medical challenges involved in treating addiction.

Part Two: Jason's Story

In part two, Jess tells us the story of Jason Goodman. After years of abusing cocaine and methamphetamine, Goodman says he's finally found a new life in recovery.

Part Three: Full Circle

In part three, we meet Bubba Grassick and Celeste Webb, and hear how recovery from addiction has changed their perspectives on themselves and others.
